Info: Oklahoma requires you to move over for any stationary vehicle displaying flashing lights — including an ordinary motorist with hazard lights on, Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Turnpike Authority maintenance vehicles, Highway Patrol and local law enforcement, and emergency vehicles or wreckers.

Oklahoma requires you to move over for any stationary vehicle displaying flashing lights — including an ordinary motorist with hazard lights on, Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Turnpike Authority maintenance vehicles, Highway Patrol and local law enforcement, and emergency vehicles or wreckers. Move into a lane that is not adjacent to the stopped vehicle; if no additional lane exists, proceed with due caution and slow to a safe speed for the road, weather and traffic conditions. The law was expanded to cover all flashing and hazard lights by Senate Bill 89, effective Nov. 1, 2019; a violation may result in a fine.
