The story
LawLert was built by Gino Cattuzzo, a former correctional officer from Nevada. Years of working inside the system showed him a pattern: ordinary people whose lives were derailed by laws they didn't know existed — a magazine that was legal at home, a firearm carried one state too far, fireworks lit under a burn ban, medication packed for the wrong country. So he built the tool he wished those people had: an app that knows the law where you're standing — and warns you the moment you cross into somewhere it changes.
LawLert's rule is absolute: every law summary is dated and linked to an official government source. If it can't be verified, it doesn't ship.

What LawLert does
Location-aware law awareness: open it anywhere in the US and see the live status of cannabis, firearms, alcohol, gambling, fireworks, driving, fishing, hunting, burn bans and taxes — for your city, county and state. Cross a state line and it alerts you to what changed. Enter a national park or forest and it warns cannabis and firearms trackers that federal rules apply. Plan a trip with state-to-state comparisons, or check 80+ countries before flying. When a law you track changes, LawLert tells you — that's the mission: a world where nobody unknowingly breaks the law.
