Info: In New Mexico, when you approach a stopped emergency, recovery or repair vehicle displaying flashing emergency or hazard lights: if it is reasonably safe, move into a lane that isn't next to it and slow to a reasonable and prudent speed; if changing lanes isn't safe, slow to a reasonable and prudent speed, proceed with caution and be prepared to stop.

For an emergency vehicle coming toward you with its lights or siren on, pull parallel to the right edge clear of intersections and stop until it passes (NMSA 66-7-332, as amended by 2017 S.B. 76).
