    New York leaves traffic cameras to local option: school-zone speed cameras and red-light cameras are allowed only where the state legislature has granted enabling authority, such as in New York City. They are not allowed statewide.

  • PennsylvaniaConditional

    Pennsylvania allows camera enforcement only in limited settings: work-zone speed cameras statewide (75 Pa.C.S. 3369) and automated speed enforcement on specified Philadelphia corridors. There is no general statewide use.
