Bluegill in Iowa inland public waters have a daily bag limit of 25 and no possession limit. No minimum size limit applies statewide. On private waters there is no daily or possession limit. On the Mississippi River and connected backwaters, the combined bag limit for bluegill and pumpkinseed is 25 daily with a possession limit of 50. Missouri River and Big Sioux River have no limit.
